Alexis Washburn, Editor-In-Chief/ Lead Photographer
As an active member of the journalism community with two courses of prior experience under her belt, senior Alexis (Lexi) Washburn (she/her) is looking forward to taking on the leadership role of photography editor and co-editor-in-chief for The Scituation during the 2023–2024 school year. Described by others as creative, reliable, and friendly, Washburn is deeply committed to the community. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she is a member of Best Buddies, Student Council, and Allies Not Bystanders. Outside of school, Washburn volunteers with Scituate Community Christmas.
Being passionate about photography--with talent to back it up--Washburn hopes to bring people together through her photos. As an editor for the newspaper, she hopes to increase readership by reaching a larger audience beyond Scituate.
This year, Washburn looks forward to keeping up with academics and continuing her college touring journey. She hopes to pursue photography at a prominent university in the South, where she can take her dreams to the next level. For now, Washburn is excited to have a fun and exciting senior year with her friends.
