McKenna Berard, Staff Writer
Dedicated, outgoing, and kind are all words used to describe senior McKenna Berard (she/her). Berard is ready to make an impact at SHS during her final year and plans to do so as a part of The Scituation staff. Through her writing, she hopes to spotlight mental health while advocating for change and students' rights.
With the ambition to study nursing in college, Berard notably loves learning about biology and anatomy. Her work experience includes interning at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and volunteering at a children’s center for speech and physical therapy.
In addition to her academic interests, Berard participates in many extracurricular activities including volleyball and the Best Buddies club. She enjoys surfing in the summer and skiing in the winter and has a passion for traveling year-round. This past summer, Berard traveled across Europe, where she visited Italy, Croatia, and Greece.
With this year being her first in journalism, Berard is excited to grow as a writer and expand her horizons in the journalism field.
