Henry Gates, Sports Editor / Staff Writer
SHS senior Henry Gates (he/him) joins The Scituation staff for the second year in a row. Described by his peers as an outgoing and personable student with a good sense of humor, Gates is an important member of the journalism team because he is taking on the role of sports editor.
Gates enjoys playing football and baseball as well as participating in the high jump during winter track. These experiences allow him to bring an experienced lense to the sports stories in The Scituation. In addition to his athletics, Gates is involved in student government and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Gates is looking forward to graduation and moving toward his future plans. He enjoys science classes, especially electives like Oceanography, and would like to pursue his interests while attending a military academy.
