Hannah Bates, Social Media Editor
Senior Hannah Bates is ready to begin her second year writing for The Scituation as she joins the leadership team as the social media editor. Throughout her career at Scituate High School, English has always been Bates’ favorite subject. When Bates is not in school, she spends her time horseback riding with her horse, Owen. Over the summer Bates competes in multiple Dressage competitions and has won many awards for her horseback riding. As the college process begins for Bates, she is not exactly sure which college or university she would like to go to. Although she is not quite sure of where she wants to go or what she wants to major in, she is sure that she wants to stay in New England. If you had asked just a few months ago, Bates would have told you that she wanted to go somewhere far away from Massachusetts, preferably somewhere warm. After this summer, being exposed to inescapable heat and humidity, she has decided that the comfort of a harsh New England winter is better than any alternative. Bates enjoys traveling and looks forward to visiting new places when she is older. Her college experience would be the first step to her new adventures. She is open to writing about anything that may come her way and is eager to start the new year.
