Emmy Curtin, Staff Writer
Excited for her senior year, Emmy Curtin (she/her) wants to keep people informed about the school community and local stories through her work as a staff writer for The Scituation. Curtin intends to build on her experience in Introduction to Journalism and grow as a journalist. With an interest in AP Literature and AP Psychology, Curtin's dedication to her academics is impressive.
Outside of the classroom, Curtin works hard as a student government representative and member of the girls' varsity tennis team. She also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Red Cross. She has previous experience raising money for empowerHer, a local organization dedicated to supporting girls who have lost their mothers.
Looking to the future, Curtin is interested in exploring different areas in journalism and finding what fits her best. She is excited to attend college next year and plans to continue her efforts as a community volunteer.
