Ciara Callanan, Sports Editor
Returning to SHS journalism for her senior year, Ciara Callanan (she/her) is excited to tackle being a sports editor! Callanan enjoys the journalistic process of researching, writing, and publishing, and wants to encourage students to express their own ideas and opinions within the school.
Outside the classroom, Callanan teaches swim lessons and is an accomplished soccer player--both at SHS and on her club team. She is an active member of the SHS community, both on and off the field. Described by her peers as funny, kind, and hard-working, Callanan is a great addition to the Scituation team this year.
Looking forward, Callanan hopes to attend college for either health/physical or maritime sciences to pursue her love of biology and marine life. Callanan has been recognized as a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society. Writing for The Scituation this year, Callanan is excited to take the high school sports coverage to a new level!
