Benjamin DiPesa, Staff Writer
Senior Benjamin (Ben) DiPesa (he/him) is new to The Scituation this year, making his debut as a staff writer. Known for his sociability and extraordinary knowledge of the US presidents, DiPesa is a valued member of the senior class. Described by his classmates as funny, intelligent, loyal, and respectful, his favorite subjects are history, government, and English. These interests align with his Advanced Journalism goals: writing about politics, current events, and culture. DiPesa wants to keep his audience updated with what’s happening in Scituate and the world. He is interested in broadcasting and hopes to explore this field more.
With an evident dedication to his academics–seen in his multiple SAIL Awards and induction into the National Honor Society–DiPesa also takes part in activities outside of school. As the SHS boys' tennis team captain, he is a scholar-athlete, gaining many notable achievements such as All-Star and Patriot League MVP.
As he enters the new school year, DiPesa is excited to be a senior and enjoy his final year at SHS. Looking to his future, he hopes to attend college in New England, where he can pursue a topic that interests him.
