Molly Ryan, Co-Editor-In-Chief

Eager to join her first journalism class, senior Molly Ryan (she/her) is taking on an essential role as this year’s Co-Editor-In-Chief. Ryan became interested in student journalism after taking AP Language and Composition. During her junior year, she was also a finalist in the American Legion Oratorical Competition, and her opinion essays were published in The Scituation; subsequently, Ryan is approaching this year with a passionate and driven mindset. As a leader for the Scituation team, she is looking forward to creating new traditions and expanding the readership to the entire Scituate community.

With a passion for writing, environmental science, and math, Ryan is a member of the Math Honor Society and the History Honor Society. A recipient of the Yale Book Award, Ryan is a well-rounded and dedicated student. Serving as the president of Best Buddies, treasurer of Student Government, a delegate for Model UN, and an avid member of the Debate Team, Ryan is a tireless leader at SHS.

Outside the classroom, Ryan participates in cross country, track, and tennis. During the winter season, she also a ski instructor for children and adults with disabilities. Ryan has great memories from her high school experience, including meeting girls from across Massachusetts while attending Girls State, a program where she learned about laws, government, and the economy. Over the summer, she interned with Representative Patrick Kearney. Ryan clearly brings a lot to the table and is ready to make a positive impact at The Scituation.
