Meet Michael Porter (he/him), a passionate and friendly SHS senior eager to start his journey as a staff writer for The Scituation. While the world of journalism may be new to him this year, Porter’s dedication to his community and his enthusiastic personality are sure to make him a valuable member of the newspaper team.
As an athlete, academic, and volunteer, Porter has a notable range of interests that include business, marketing, and math. With the hard work he puts into his academic classes, he hopes to excel in all his AP exams. Beyond the classroom, Porter enjoys showcasing his athletic talent on the basketball court and golf course.
Looking toward the future, Porter is interested in majoring in business at the college level. After graduation, he would like to pursue a professional career, possibly in marketing.
