2018 brought a lot of joy in the movie industry, but one movie that struck the eye of many is Crazy Rich Asians. Receiving a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 7/10 on IMDB, the romantic comedy is one to watch. With 22 nominations, Crazy Rich Asians received 5 awards since premiering August 15, 2018.

The PG-13 movie starring Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh previews the experience of Rachel Chu traveling home with her boyfriend Nick Young to meet his extremely wealthy family at their home in Singapore. The Romantic Comedy stresses the experience Rachel faces to impress Nicks mom and the struggle she faces from Nick being a popular choice in the community.

The Romantic comedy is both engaging and tear-jerking. It is the kind of movie that makes you want to watch it over and over again, leaving you feeling something special after each watch.  The most memorable scene of the movie shows the 14 million dollar wedding in which Nick’s best friend is getting married. The beautiful bride walks down the water filled isle while “Can’t help falling in love” by Kina Grannis and projects the love connection between Rachel and Nick as they both mouth the words “I love you” to each other.

The incredible award-winning movie is one to see and one that the world already loves. The movie industry in 2018 is thriving and 2019 is to bring many more outstanding films, similar to Crazy Rich Asians.
