Scituate High School’s star wide receiver, Devin Gantt, signed a letter of intent to play football for Husson University in Bangor, Maine, on Monday, March 14th. Husson is a Division III university.

Gantt, who has played on the SHS varsity team since his sophomore year, has a reputation for dependability. When asked about his career and how he would describe himself as a player and a teammate, Gantt said, “Without my teammates, I wouldn’t be where I am now. They come first — not me. They helped me become better every week.”

At Husson, Gantt will study criminal justice. He plans to earn a master’s degree in five years. At Scituate High School, Gantt took the School to Career class, which allowed him to participate in an internship with the Scituate Police Department. Gantt’s dream is to become a detective in Boston or New York.
