Senior Brennan Lazcano (he/him) is looking forward to continuing his interest in journalism as a staff writer for The Scituation. Applying what he learned during his sophomore year while taking Introduction to Journalism, he hopes to bring a positive and fresh perspective to the community by creating unique feature stories. As he takes on his senior year, Lazcano is also excited to take more interest-based classes, such as AP Psychology, noting, “Doing work that you’re passionate about makes it that much more enjoyable.”

Outside of journalism, Lazcano has a passion for music and even performs at local businesses on the weekends. Additionally, he is an accomplished athlete, having played varsity soccer throughout his high school years. Currently, Lazcano is a team captain. 

With an interest in business, Lazcano participates in the Global Economics Club and DECA competitions.

Beyond high school, Lazcano aspires to continue his music career and attend a four-year university. Described by his peers as optimistic, generous, and funny, Lazcano aims to make every person he interviews feel welcome and comfortable in his presence, and he hopes this warmth will shine through in his journalistic stories.
