Best Buddies celebrated the holidays with a gingerbread decorating event

On Thursday, December 15th, the SHS Best Buddies club met after school in the cafeteria to decorate gingerbread people and houses. Approximately 50 students participated. Confections were provided by CORSE, and the gingerbread was purchased at Ginger Betty’s, which is located in Quincy.

According to Best Buddies club officer Kelsea Lee, the event was a success: “This is always an event people look forward to. It’s a reoccurring event because it’s so popular,” she explained.

Lee added, “The event was a great experience, and we all had fun working in groups to create gingerbread houses.” Five houses were decorated, and they will be displayed throughout SHS in various locations.

Best Buddies is currently one of the most popular clubs at SHS, with 96 high school students actively involved. In January, the club is planning a trip to Boston Bowl in Hanover.
