SHS senior Nate Lauzon has lived in Scituate his entire life. Recently accepted at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, Lauzon said he likes how the school is far enough away but still close to family. Though he isn’t sure which career he wants to pursue, he is interested in the sports business.

Lauzon plays soccer for SHS; in addition, he enjoys participating in Ultimate Frisbee. One of his most memorable moments as a high school student was winning last year’s Ultimate Frisbee championship in Abington. After a major comeback, it became a valuable victory.

Last year was Lauzon’s favorite year at SHS, but he feels his senior year may shape up to be just as good–if not better. Currently, Lauzon’s favorite class is Sociology with SHS history teacher Kristen Emerson because of the openness and flexibility of the class. Similarly, his all-time favorite teacher was his middle school social studies teacher, Matthew Poirier. Lauzon counts his 8th grade French field trip to Quebec, Canada, among his best travel experiences.

Though Lauzon has few regrets from his time at SHS, if he could turn back the clock, he would join more clubs during his freshman year. Nevertheless, after his many years in Scituate, Lauzon will, without a doubt, be remembered as a welcoming student who made a positive impact at SHS.
