Aspiring actress Ashlyn Kelly has always wanted to work in the arts, so it’s no surprise to see her on The Scituation staff as a staff writer and business manager. She’s always been a very open person when it comes to music -- well, that is anything besides heavy metal or country. An avid horseback rider, Kelly’s been at it for eight years now. She’s lucky enough to have made it to Nationals in Virginia and was accepted on a junior varsity IEA team. Of course, that isn’t her only hobby. Kelly is interested in cooking and drama. Kelly also has aspirations of becoming an actress. To help make that dream a reality, she can see herself living in LA or Hollywood. Kelly has friends out there and the weather is great, so it only makes sense. Inspired by her favorite actress, Natasha Lyonne, Kelly has her goals set high. Asked to describe herself in three words, Kelly said, “Unique, creative and empathetic.” She hopes to figure out which college she will attend, and she wants to have a great last year of high school. That’s entirely possible since she’s on The Scituation staff this year.
