Peloton App and Bike Review

Jane Feeney, Staff Writer

No doubt about it–the Peloton changed my 2020. No matter who you are or what you are interested in, there is no doubt that the Peloton app has a class for you. Best known for its stationary bike, Peloton has released many other products, such as the treadmill and the app.

I use the Peloton stationary bike every day, and I love it. However, it is an investment. The Peloton app, on the other hand, is very affordable and can be used anywhere: at home, at the gym, or outside.

Aside from the bike classes, my favorite types of classes on the app are the core and strength workouts. The classes range from beginner to advanced and from 5 minutes to 75 minutes. There are also over 20 different instructors with new music playlists every class. There are thousands of strength, yoga, cardio, meditation, running, walking, and stretching classes that are all available on the app. You can follow the live-class schedule to take live classes with instructors or take classes at any time on demand.

I like the Peloton because I find it engaging. Each month there are new challenges that you can join. Last month, I participated in the “stack for more” challenge when you needed to stack (complete one workout after another) 6+ workouts over the course of 14 days. I also enjoy taking live virtual classes with my favorite instructors. This is fun because they often give you a shoutout when you hit a new milestone or are at the top of the leaderboard. You can also follow friends, celebrities, or family and workout together.

Instructors are arguably the most important part of a ride. The energy that an instructor brings can make or break a ride. Currently, my favorite instructors are Cody Rigsby, Ally Love, Alex Toussaint, and Tunde Oyeneyin. Each of my four favorite instructors is completely different and teaches different classes, which is really nice because it is easy to find classes and instructors who get you excited to workout.

The moral of the story is everyone should stop reading this article and go download the Peloton app!
