Swimmers took their mark and dove into the 2018 season with their newest addition, junior Ryan Frankel.

As a new member of the Scituate High School swim and dive team, Frankel is making strides. He described the team as a family, dedicated to Friday morning practices and after school practices at the Scituate Racquet & Fitness Club pool. Frankel says the swimmers “all get along” and are “always there for each other.”

Seeing success at the start of the season, the boys and girls both won their first meet against North Quincy High School. The coaches were eager to have Frankel as a part of the team, as they heard a lot about his talented swimming abilities developed during his past years swimming in Wilton, Connecticut. Frankel said this excitement made him feel welcome and a part of the team very quickly.

Frankel participates in many different events: the 200 meter individual medley, the 100 meter butterfly, the 100 meter freestyle, the 100 meter backstroke, the 200 meter free relay, and the 400 meter free relay. Frankel has a lot to offer for this team–with his ten years of experience–as he was a member of the Wilton High School Swim Team and was on a club team in Connecticut as well.
