Boston Herald Available to All Students

Daniel Todd, Staff Writer

On Thursday, January 10th, SHS librarian Susan Lydon announced that Scituate High School students will now be able to access the electronic version of the Boston Herald. This news source is being offered free of charge while students are in the building.

Lydon discovered that schools are able to access free subscriptions, so she took advantage of this opportunity. For the past several years, students have been able to access the electronic version of the New York Times while they are in the building. Having additional access to a Boston news source could be helpful to some students.

Every day, (paper) newspapers are delivered to the high school library, and students are encouraged to read them during their free time or study periods. The Wall Street Journal and the Boston Globe are delivered each morning. Several English teachers also have copies of these newspaper delivered to their classrooms.
