As seniors enter the real world after graduation, they are
going to have quite the reality check when they realize what
adulthood truly entails.
Things you have to deal with as an adult:
1. Actually reading the Terms of Agreement on important/
legally binding documents.
2.Having the discipline not to eat cookies for dinner every
night.
3.Making your own lunch.
4.Knowing how to put a tire on your car.
5.Putting on sunscreen without your mom reminding you.
6.Making your own dentist, doctor, and hair appointments.
7.Knowing what a W-4 is.
8.Reading owner’s manuals in order to fix something.
9.Being in charge of your own nutrition/workout schedule.
10.Running errands instead of being bed-bound for the entire
weekend.
11.Starting to understand the subtle jokes aimed at parents in
Disney movies.
12.Having the responsibility of actually following politics.
(Note: We’re voting in the Election of 2016!)
13.Owning a professional wardrobe.
14.Not having the luxury of being pushed in the car shaped
carts at the grocery store.
15.Expanding your palate to like more “sophisticated” foods
such as caviar and escargot.
16.Flossing every night.
17.Knowing how to do basic household tasks – e.g. hanging a
picture, doing the laundry, adjusting the thermostat.
18.Being able to nicely wrap a gift.
19.Being able to compose a formal email as opposed to a text
message.
20.Knowing how to make your own coffee (Keurigs don’t
count).
