Maeve Lawler, Co-Editor-In-Chief
As a Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Scituation, senior Maeve Lawler (she/her) is looking forward to ensuring Honors Journalistic Writing students have a successful year while developing their writing, reporting, and editing skills.
Active in a variety of extracurricular programs, Maeve is a member of the cross country team, participates in Model UN and student government, and enjoys taking part in local politics. Recognized for her distinguished achievements in AP Language and Composition, Maeve, who is known as a serious and dedicated student, was also the recipient of the Most Improved Historical Thinker award.
Maeve deeply values student journalism and aspires to write stories that connect readers to the world. With her experience living overseas in Leeds, England, Maeve has developed a strong appreciation for local, national, and global issues alike. With countless events occurring in the community, the nation, and the world, Maeve believes there is no better time for student journalism. She encourages students to use the power of writing to send meaningful messages to the community and beyond.
