Hayden Startzell, Video Editor
Joining the Scituation for the 2019-2020 academic year will be senior Hayden Startzell. He will be working closely with fellow video team managers Miles Bowker and Danny Todd to expand the media profile of the Scituation. One of Hayden's ideas is to begin production on a podcast that profiles students from around the school, in order to better understand the way they think.
Hayden should not be a name ambiguous to Scituate students: he is a talented and committed actor whom students may remember for his impassioned stage performances in Tartuffe or Mamma Mia. Hayden is proud of and committed to the high school's theater program. During the past few months, he has been adapting SpongeBob for the stage, preparing for the fall musical performance, all while answering to the responsibilities associated with senior year.
Hayden’s first foray into journalism was reporting on the limited student access to the PAC courtyard. His broad spectrum of interests is sure to bring new and thoughtful stories to the pages of the Scituation. Whether it be something Hayden learned about psychology or a perplexing aspect of mathematics, he is always keen to share. Hayden has been recognized for his talents in the classroom and on stage, being a member of the History Honor’s society, and as a trophy holder from some regional drama competitions.
Hayden’s future is bright and open, as he pursues a college education. He is not entirely certain what he wants to study but is confident it will involve either journalism and communications, or television writing and direction. In the meantime, you can catch Hayden on the stage, behind the camera, or this year on the pages of the Scituation.
