Anna O'Connell , Staff Writer
Senior Anna O’Connell is a senior at Scituate High School and will be graduating in June of 2018. Anna is an avid fan of politics, and over the summer, she had an internship with Representative Jim Cantwell. She spent all of last summer in the state capitol, located in Boston common, where she answered phones for him. Anna is also a treasurer for Scituate High School’s Model United Nations. Along with politics, Anna also has a passion for statistics, and she hopes to get a degree in that and also Political Science but has yet to choose what college. Anna’s favorite television show is Law and Order: SVU. She also works after school as a babysitter for two kids, and bribes the kids with Fruit by the Foot when they are not listening to her. She often goes to Savers and checks the men's t-shirt section for vintage gems. When she isn’t at home, Anna is most likely to be found at her other job in Scituate harbor at Coffee Corner. Two of Anna’s favorite places to go is the “less popular” side of the Spit, and the Jetty located off of Second Cliff. Anna has no prior experience as a journalist but wants to get to know a little of each part, because she knows how much of a role journalism plays in politics. She is also really looking forward to meeting new people and hearing the different perspectives they have to offer.
