Nikki Yang, Staff Writer
Nikki Yang is a current senior and Scituation staff writer. She was born in Long Island, New York and moved to Scituate in fourth grade. Being an only child, Nikki enjoyed playing soccer because of the sport itself, but also the team atmosphere. She has played club soccer for seven years including several years on the Massachusetts state Olympic Development Program team. Currently, she has decided to take a break from high school soccer to focus on a heavy course load of five AP classes and to take part in new activities. The Scituation is an example of an option she had not seriously considered before her junior year, only recently becoming very interested in writing and journalism, but she is very excited to be part of the program. During the year, Nikki will also work at the South Shore YMCA and babysit occasionally, but most of her time will be dedicated to school and the college process. She is applying to and hopes to be accepted into business focused schools around the Boston area. In the future, she would like to go into business, preferably in the fashion industry and live outside of Massachusetts. Nikki looks forward to contributing to the Scituation and making the most of her last year of high school.
