Kate McAteer, Co. Features Editor
If there is one word to describe Kate McAteer, it is motivated. Kate is prepared to continue working hard her senior year at Scituate High School and will hopefully live up to the standard set by her older brother, Matt, who is currently a freshman at Brown University. Not that she is competitive or anything. Kate also has a younger sister, Claire, roaming the halls at SHS as a freshman. Kate has a passion for swimming and has been doing so her entire life. She is a dedicated member of the SHS swim team and has played SHS field hockey for three years. Another one of Kate’s passions is the Spanish language. She has traveled to Spain several times, once with the Scituate High School Exchange, and hopes to live there one day and visit the rest of Europe, hopefully learning other languages along the way. She is a part of the National Spanish Honor Society as well as the National Honor Society. In addition, Kate is a proud volunteer with Appalachian Service Project, which she has been involved with since her sophomore year. Kate is proud to be a part of the Scituation and is excited to begin her duties as one of the Scituation’s Features Editors!
