James Lawyer

James Lawyer, Film & Broadcasting Editor

James Lawyer is a senior at Scituate High School who prefers to be behind the camera and behind the scenes at The Scituation. Aside from being Film and Broadcasting Editor, Lawyer is a dancer, but he hopes to make a career out of his short films. When asked about his favorite dance song, Lawyer said, “That’s a hard question,” and approximately three minutes later replied with anything by Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s.  Lawyer first discovered a passion for photography and videography in 6th grade. Since then he’s taken Public Speaking and TV Production, and this year as a senior he’s taking Literature to Film. Lawyer’s favorite director is Gus Van Sant, notable for Good Will Hunting and Milk. He directs many short films, and his personal favorite is What If It’s Not So Bad, starring SHS alums Roger Dawley and Leah Block. Lawyer loves to work with fellow SHS seniors Gina Collari and Courtney McCarthy. If her could travel anywhere in the world, he’d love to go to London.
