Aspiring writer Juliet Ball is ready to start her journey as one of the Scituation's newest reporters. It’s no surprise that Juliet decided to join the Scituation team for her senior year: English is one of her favorite subjects, and she pursued her interest in journalism as early as her freshman year when she took Introduction to Journalism. Juliet looks forward to writing articles that will inform both the SHS student body and the greater Scituate community.

While remaining committed to her studies outside of journalism, Juliet is busy taking AP Literature, AP Calculus, AP Psychology, AP Latin, and Astronomy. She is excited about the challenges that this hefty workload offers, and she hopes to make her last year at Scituate High School her best yet.

Outside of the classroom, Juliet continues to keep busy. She is a member of the SHS cross country, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Sports are without a doubt a big part of Juliet’s life, as she said, “Being a part of a team has contributed greatly to my maturity and loyalty on and off the field.” Juliet added that hanging out with her friends, especially on the beach, is one of her favorite activities. She also enjoys watching all types of movies but admits “Grown Ups” is her favorite. An avid music enthusiast, Juliet loves all categories of music but considers the country genre one of her favorites.

For the past two summers, Juliet volunteered to work with ASP (Appalachia Service Project) to build houses for the less fortunate in West Virginia. In addition, she accrued countless hours of community service while working with the Scituate Recreation Department.

Along with her regular babysitting jobs, Juliet also enjoys working at Pour, a coffee shop in Cohasset.
