Aspiring to write for the Scituation since her freshman year, Julia climbed the ranks from a staff writer during the 2017-2018 academic year, to her current position as a managing editor on the leadership team during her senior year. In her role as a managing editor, Julia is excited about helping staff writers research, organize, and edit their stories as she coordinates online and print publications.

Julia is actively engaged in her school community. Serving as the student government president for the Class of 2019 (her second year in this role), Julia is excited to have an active say in decisions about senior events. Involved in Interact Club, she enjoys organizing charitable events, such as the holiday dance for special needs students. Julia is also a member of the swim and lacrosse teams. Julia appreciates the team camaraderie and positive atmosphere fostered on SHS sports teams.

When she’s not in school, Julia can be found working at Atlantic Bagel, where she enjoys whipping up her favorite flavor, cinnamon sugar, of course! Julia even has a hidden secret: putting extra cinnamon sugar on the cream cheese.

In the future, Julia dreams of attending a military academy or participating in the ROTC scholarship program. She would like to serve in the U.S. military, where she would pursue her interest in medicine.
