A new member of The Scituation staff, Daniel Todd is eager to get into the groove of writing for the school newspaper. According to Todd, his junior year at Scituate High School will be anything but boring. Along with his hard work in his academic classes, he will be participating in the Best Buddies club for his third year in a row at SHS. He loves to be involved in clubs at school and to be a part of the community. Although Todd no longer takes part in soccer and track, he has more time to focus on his academic interests in AP Language & Composition and Honors US History II. He loves writing, which will make him a valuable asset to The Scituation. During his freshman year, Todd learned and grew as a writer in the Intro to Journalism class, which made him realize that writing for The Scituation would be ideal for him. Through this experience, Todd hopes to get more involved in the school and community. On his days off during the hot summer months, Todd spends most of his time at the beach. This past summer, he worked hard under the sun at Blakeman’s restaurant on Duxbury Beach. Besides his time spent bussing at the beach, Todd relaxed at his lake house on Belgrade Lakes, Maine. As the summer was winding down for Todd, he spent his time with his friends and looked forward to school starting up. Although he hasn’t put too much thought into the specifics, Todd has a big future ahead of him and many opportunities will follow him out of high school. He plans on going to college after graduation in the year 2020 and may even pursue a career path in journalism.
