Students have been waiting in anticipation for the 4th annual SHS handball tournament to take place on March 17th and 18th in the high school gym. Organized by Mr. Roberts and his new club, Bracketology, this tournament has already attracted over 20 teams.

Each team, comprised of at least three boys and three girls (including a staff member), pays twenty dollars to participate. Profits from the handball tournament are combined with profits from the badminton and volleyball tournaments in the fall and the upcoming cornhole tournament in the spring to fund the Sailor Pride Scholarship, given out to one senior at the end of the year.

Teams have until Friday, March 11, to sign up. Until then, the student body must prepare itself for high strung emotions out on the court and a release of every participant’s inner competitiveness. Each team is hoping to be the champions of the 2016 tournament.
