Harborside Nutrition

Scituate Harbor welcomes Harborside Nutrition, a nutrition-focused tea and shake bar. This up-and-coming business is located at 133 Front Street in a newly renovated building that previously housed Slyvia’s, a local boutique. Harborside Nutrition has a welcoming and roomy atmosphere with neutral-toned walls and cozy seating areas. The menu offers a wide array of delicious drinks and meals ranging from shakes, hydrating teas, fruit bowls, and coffees.

The owners, Kayla O’Brien and Leah Simmons, are eager to bring their business into the downtown area of Scituate Harbor. When asked what inspired them to open up a nutrition bar, they replied, “There was no real reason–we were just like, ‘okay let’s do it.’” O’Brien and Simmons both have degrees in nutrition as well as experience working at Blend Nutrition in Weymouth. With their knowledge and passion for wellness, they felt motivated to open a store together.

The surplus of tea and shake options on the menu may leave customers wondering what they should order. Owner O’Brien commented, “I recommend the Simple Service to new customers.” A Simple Service includes a shake and a tea for the price of one shake. Other delicious options include the Mega Teas. These teas range in flavor and caffeine intensity: the Liftoff contains 360mg, while Simple Teas contain 80mg. There are also add-ons for the teas and shakes, including the Beauty Booster with collegian, H30 for extra hydration, aloe water, and collagen. The coffees are protein-based, and customers can add sugar-free syrups. On the kids’ menu, there are drink options with no caffeine.

Harborside Nutrition is a bright new addition to Scituate Harbor. The diverse menu brings a fun and nutritional spot to town. Harborside also offers discounts on different days of the week, giving frontline workers and teachers 20% off. Additionally, all students receive 20% off their purchases on Wednesday mornings. Why wait twenty minutes in the Starbucks line when you can support a new, nutritional, and delicious local business?
