Prom Fashions will be on Display at Granite Links

The prom Facebook group is probably the best idea ever known to mankind. Girls can show off their beautiful dresses, get compliments from their fellow classmates, and be sure there are no dress repeats.

This year, prom fashion knows no bounds. It’s all about individuality and expressing your sense of style! Many girls have strayed from the classics, wearing dresses that are two-pieces, completely beaded, patterned, and so much more. However, there are, of course, certain trends that are super hot this year: Many dresses have beading on the top and solid colors on the bottom. Typically, these dresses are a fit and flare style. However, all styles of dresses are represented this year! Black and navy seem to be the most popular colors for dresses, with the runner-ups being pink and red.

For girls who went with the more sleek look with no beading, their dresses are generally either tight-fitted, they include cutouts, they are backless, or they have unique necklines. High necklines seem to be the rage. As always, the majority of dresses are floor length. However, it’s very difficult to categorize the other aspects of the gowns, because they are all so different!

The diversity of each dress is refreshing this year. Every girl is going to feel like royalty on one of the most memorable nights of their high school career. Prom is a blast no matter what you’re wearing. So don’t be afraid to let your hair down, makeup smudge, and shoes come off…after pictures of course!
