Selena Gomez Strips Down for her ‘Revival’

When you hear the names Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, do you think of the perfect Disney stars, or the “girls gone wild”? Selena Gomez is the next Disney star to be put on that list. After shutting down rumors of going to rehab because of her relationship with Justin Bieber, she is now being ridiculed for stripping down completely naked on the cover of her new album “Revival.”

Gomez’s new album is all about salvation and recovery. She recently came out as saying instead of being in rehab, she was receiving chemotherapy for lupus. In another interview with YouTuber Lilly Singh, Gomez revealed that her hair is “very fake.” On the album cover, Gomez is letting it all out to show her vulnerabilities and let the world know she isn’t hiding anything anymore.

Gomez recently opened up about being body-shamed, and she is determined not to let it get to her. She is using her new album as an opportunity to reveal to the world that she has nothing else to hide, and she is channeling all of her feelings into creating it. The album allows Gomez to show off her confidence in her own body.

Unfortunately, Gomez’s album cover is not achieving its purpose. Instead of looking at the cover the way it was intended, most are sexualizing it. There have been many mixed reviews about this photo and what it was really saying.   Selena Gomez is no longer hiding herself with her new album “Revival,” and she shouldn’t be sexualized for showing her true, raw revival.
